Why do we pray?

Our prayers for you are always spilling over into thanksgivings. We can't quit thanking God our Father and Jesus our Messiah for you! We keep getting reports on your steady faith in Christ, our Jesus, and the love you continuously extend to all Christians. The lines of purpose in your lives never grow slack, tightly tied as they are to your future in heaven, kept taut by hope. It's the same all over the world. The Message bears fruit and gets larger and stronger, just as it has in you. From the very first day you heard and recognized the truth of what God is doing, you've been hungry for more. Colossians 1:3-6 The Message

This is why we pray. We pray because we are thankful, and we know that this is a battle. We pray so that we may be faithful for we to have been called for a purpose. Let us never grow slack.

Dear Father in Heaven,
We bless you for the blessings that you have given us. Lord, I pray that you will continue to use Sarah for your honor and glory. Let the fruit that she bears bring you blessings. Lord, help us to remain faithful in our intercessions for the Palin family, our nation and one another.

Lord, on this day I pray that she will have a time of rest, recovery, and renewal. Bring her family together so that they will enjoy one another. Thank you for their presents and energy that they bring to our nation at this time.

Continue to give them wisdom and grace as they touch lives each day.
Thank you for this opportunity of prayer.
In Jesus name
Amen.
