Dear Father,
Thank you that you are the God of wisdom. We thank you that your ways are not our ways, and your thoughts higher than ours. So Lord we know that the beginning of wisdom comes from our acknowledgement of you and our reverence of who you are. Thank you for being the only all knowing God.
Lord, Sarah will be meeting with President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan next week. Lord, thank you for this opportunity. I pray that she will seek you about this meeting. Help her to hear this man and understand the challenges Afghanistan faces today. Help her to ask the questions that will lead to a clear understanding of our relationship with Afghanistan and the people of this area. Provide her with insight on how our country should proceed in the next 4 years with our troops in this area of the world. Help her to understand the economical needs of Afghanistan and show her the power struggles that are hindering Afghanistan from being a peaceful nation.
Give her grace and understanding, a tender heart and listening ears. Help her to understand her rule and to show the love of Christ to President Hamid Karzai. Thank you for his position of power and I pray that he seeks the good for his country. Lord, I thank you for this nation and I pray that you will provide godly leaders in our nation at all levels of government.
